Junior Year

Junior year is over! One more year to go until graduation! Then off to Grad school and finally a career. This school year was a good one. I am taking primarily major classes at this point and I'm very confident this career path will give me a lot of opportunities to serve and be happy. Im not sure yet what setting I want to work in, but I have time to figure that out. This school year I also trained for and ran my sub four hour marathon (another bucket list item). It was one of the scariest and most challenging things I've ever done. I trained almost entirely in the winter so lots and lots of snowy, wet and cold runs. My typical training week was speed day on Monday, easy run Tuesday, Wednesday moderate run, Thursday easy day or rest day, Friday easy run and Saturday distance run. Those distance runs are what were the most meaningful, there is something very unique about going for 2-3 + hour runs by yourself. Mom flew up to help me get to and from the race as well as cheer me on and I'm really grateful, it was great to have someone to celebrate with. Im grateful I got to have this experience. Aside from running I finished my first year as a Resident Assistant. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the job and working with freshman. I also ran a spartan race with Lisa and friends, went canyoneering for the first time with some guys from my ward and made many other happy memories I'll post below. Its been a good year. This summer I am returning home for a few weeks, working back at BYU Laundry, studying for and taking the GRE and have a list of places I want to explore in Utah before school starts up again. Life is good.
